A BOX FOR SWEETS FEATURING THE SWEET SONGBIRDS BUNDLE

 

IT'S HERE.  IT'S HERE.   THE NEW CATALOG IS HERE!!!!

It's always so exciting to kick off a new Annual Catalog.  I had such fun playing ONLINE BINGO with my customers and sharing some projects using the new product.  One of the bundles that quickly caught my eye was the SWEET SONGBIRDS BUNDLE.  I love PUNCH BUNDLES because they are nice and quick, no need for a CUT AND EMBOSS MACHINE.  Just look at the adorable images in this stamp set.  What a great set for spring and beyond.  And the punch allows you to quickly cut out images and make amazing cards and 3D projects.

  

The first project I shared was this adorable BIRDIE BOX, filled with some yummy chocolate eggs (what else??).  In addition to this bundle, I also used the beautiful new 2022-24 IN COLOR 6 x 6 DESIGNER SERIES PAPER ASSORTMENT.  Such cute patterns in addition to the bright and bold colors.

To begin the box, cut a piece of SWEET SORBET card stock at 5-3/4in by 8in.  On the SHORT SIDE, score at 3/4in, 4-1/2in and 5-1/4in.  On the LONG SIDE, score at 3/4in, 3-3/4in, 4-1/2in, and 7-1/2in.  Crease and fold on all the score lines.  The box should look like the picture below after cutting away the excess card stock.  

Before assembling, add a piece of the SWEET SORBET DSP from the assortment, measuring 3-5/8in by 2-7/8in to the front of the box using TOMBOW.  Using a 1in CIRCLE PUNCH, cut a notch in the panel with the DSP on it.  Now assemble the box using TOMBOW.

For the embellishments on the front of the box, stamp the nest image in EARLY ESPRESSO INK on BASIC WHITE card stock and "fussy cut".  Punch the bird die cut and the smaller wing out of DAFFODIL DELIGHT card stock and the bird's beak out of MANGO MELODY card stock.  Stamp the eyes image on the bird die cut using EARLY ESPRESSO INK and adhere the beak and the wing to the bird die cut with TOMBOW.  

Using any die or punch you have in your stash, cut out some greenery.  I used the FOREVER GREENERY DIES and a scrap of PEAR PIZZAZZ card stock.  I cut out two of the same die cut and adhered them to the base of the nest before attaching the nest to the box using DIMENSIONALS.

Finally, add a DIMENSIONAL to the back of the bird die and slide it inside the nest.  For the sentiment, use a 3/4in strip of BASIC WHITE card stock.  Stamp the "It's your special day" sentiment using BLACK MEMENTO INK.  Add a SWEET SORBET BAKER'S TWINE BOW using a GLUE DOT.
