For DAY 2 of my TEN DAYS OF HALLOWEEN SERIES, I will be sharing the TUCK BEHIND TREAT BOX. I put MONSTER MASH FRUIT SNACKS in the box but you can put a lot of different treats inside.
The products used for this project is the same as for DAY 1 and will also be used for all other projects in the series. The paper used for this series is GINGHAM COTTAGE. This DSP pack comes with 48 sheets of 12 by 12 sheets and can be used for a variety of occasions.
The stamp set used is the SCARY CUTE STAMP SET.
To add the perfect finishing touch, I used BLACK GINGHAM RIBBON.
1)To create this treat box, start with a piece of CALYPSO CORAL CARD STOCK cut at 7in by 6-1/4in. On the LONG side, score at 2-3/4in, 3-1/4in, 6in, 6-1/4in. Score at 1/2in, 4in, 4-1/2in on the SHORT side. The template below shows how the box will look after creasing and cutting.
2)Cut a piece of the GINGHAM COTTAGE DSP at 2-1/2in by 3-1/4in and adhere it to the large panel closest to the 1/2in side panel. Using a corner rounder, round the corners of the top flap. Cut a piece of DSP at 1-1/2in by 2-1/2in, rounding the bottom corners and adhere it to the flap. Assemble the box by placing TOMBOW on the 1/2in side panel. Close the bottom using TOMBOW.
3)To create the embellishment, start with a 2-1/8in BASIC WHITE circle, cut using the LAYERING CIRCLE DIES. Cut out the coordinating scallop using CALYPSO CORAL CARD STOCK.
4)Stamp the trick or treaters image using MEMENTO BLACK INK and the BOO! sentiment on the circle. Layer the circle and scallop and place it on the front of the box using DIMENSIONALS. To make the TUCK BEHIND, close the flap before putting the circle on and position it so that the flap stays closed by tucking behind it.
5)Cut a 7/8in strip of MANGO MELODY CARD STOCK and stamp the sentiment using MEMENTO BLACK INK. Flag the left side of the strip and place it on the bottom right of the box using DIMENSIONALS.
6)Finally, open the box flap and tie a piece of BLACK GINGHAM RIBBON around it. Tuck in the flap and it's ready for the trick or treaters. To see how the box comes together, click the link below.
