PETAL PASSION IS PERFECTION

When I got the 2018 Occasions Catalog in my hot little hands at convention in Salt Lake City, the Petal Passion Suite was one of the first things to jump off the page at me.  I'm a lover of birds and couldn't wait to use the new STAMPIN BLENDS so this was the perfect choice. The possibilities with this suite are AMAZING.  Here are a few of my projects.

I started simple, using the beautiful PETAL PASSION DESIGNER SERIES PAPER as the focal point of my cards.  For both of these cards, I cut a 4 in by 5 1/4 in piece of the DSP for each card front.  I colored them using the fabulous STAMPIN BLENDS ALCOHOL MARKERS.  These BLENDS are amazing.  Each color comes in pairs, one dark and one light, and allows you to add depth and highlights to your projects. The ink is so vivid and doesn't show marker strokes when coloring.  In these two cards I used the following color pairs: Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, Old Olive, Calypso Coral, Night of Navy and Rich Razzleberry.  The sentiments are from the two-case stamp set, PETAL PALETTE.  Love the font!!

On this card, I used a POWDER PINK card base.  I cut out a 2 3/4 in by 4 in piece of  PETAL PASSION DSP (this one with polka dots) and adhered to center.  Then I chose a flower spray from the paper, colored it using, POWDER PINK, OLD OLIVE and DAFFODIL DELIGHT STAMPIN BLENDS. After a little bit of fussy cutting, I adhered it to the card front with a little TOMBOW LIQUID GLUE.  Then I made a banner on WHISPER WHITE, using the CONGRATULATIONS sentiment and a little bit of bling.  Added it to the card using some DIMENSIONALS.  BEAUTIFUL!!

This card was inspired by Janet Wakeland and uses a piece of  WINDOW SHEET.  I used a PUMPKIN PIE cardstock base, cutting the front side of the base just 1 1/2 in from the score line and cutting a 1 1/2 in strip from the remaining piece for the bottom.  I cut two pieces of polka dot DSP at 1 1/4 in by 5 1/4 in and adhere them to the card stock strips.  I stamped the FLOWER IMAGE on a scrap piece of WHISPER WHITE, colored it with PUMPKIN PIE and OLD OLIVE STAMPIN BLENDS and cut it out using the PETALS & MORE FRAMELIT DIES.  I then slid a 5 1/4 in by 4 in piece of WINDOW SHEET under the top flap and secured it with glue dots.  Then I used glue dots to secure the bottom strip.  To complete the front, I used glue dots to secure the flowers to both border pieces and the window sheet.  For the sentiment, I chose one from the PETAL PALETTE stamp set, slide my WHISPER WHITE piece inside to see where I should stamp.  Using BLACK ARCHIVAL INK, I stamped the BEST WISHES sentiment and then adhered the inside piece using SNAIL ADHESIVE.

This next card is one of my favorites.  I used a POWDER PINK card base, cutting my DSP at 4 in by 5 1/4 in.  I stamped the FLOWER and BIRD IMAGE using MEMENTO INK and colored them in using POWDER PINK, OLD OLIVE AND POOL PARTY STAMPIN BLENDS.  Using my BIG SHOT, I cut out the flowers and bird.  In addition, I cut out a WHISPER WHITE circle, using the STITCHED SHAPE FRAMELITS.  I also used the PETALS & MORE THINLIT DIES to cut out the banner and the gorgeous lacy POWDER PINK embellishment under the banner.  Everything is adhered to the card front using TOMBOW ADHESIVE with the banner and the bird adhered using DIMENSIONALS.

I found this adorable calendar easel card on Pinterest and had to try it because the design was so similar to the last card.  I found the PDF for the calendar online.  It was easy to put together.

For my final card, I used WHISPER WHITE card stock. On a scrap of WHISPER WHITE, I stamped the FLOWER, BIRD and LEAF images using MEMENTO INK.  I then colored them using POOL PARTY, OLD OLIVE and DAFFODIL DELIGHT STAMPIN BLENDS.  I cut out the FLOWER and BIRD images using the PETALS & MORE THINLIT DIES and fussy cut the leaves out.  Using the MEMENTO INK, I stamped another LEAVES image on the front of the card on an angle starting in the bottom left corner.  I then layered all my pieces as shown in the sample.  I used TOMBOW for the leaves and the flowers and DIMENSIONALS for the bird.  I stamped the THANK YOU sentiment on a banner piece then stamp FOR EVERYTHING JUST BELOW.  Added a rhinestone for BLING.  Love this card.

The PETAL PASSION SUITE is amazing and there are so many project ideas to choose from.  The sentiments included in the set makes it great for all occasions.  Interested in the suite of products, check it out in my online store.  Click below
