TEN DAYS OF HALLOWEEN- DAY 4 LUCIOUS LIP BALM TREAT HOLDER

Ok crafters, here we are.  It's DAY 4 of my TEN DAYS OF HALLOWEEN SERIES.  Today I'm moving away from the edible treats.  This treat box holds a standard size lip balm.  A great gift for young and old alike.

For this project, I used the amazing GINGHAM COTTAGE DSP.  This pack has 48 sheets and is a great go to for Halloween as well as Christmas and Easter.  So many great colors.

The stamp set I used was the adorable SCARY CUTE STAMP SET.  Just love these cute little trick or treater silhouettes and the sentiments are perfect.

To wrap up each of these adorable boxes, I used the BLACK & WHITE GINGHAM RIBBON.  This ribbon is so versatile.  It can be used for every occasion.

1)To create this treat box, start with a piece of PARAKEET PARTY CARD STOCK cut at 5in by 7-1/4in.  On the LONG SIDE, score at 2-1/4in, 4-1/2in, 5-1/4in, 6in and 6-3/4in.  On the SHORT SIDE, score at 3/8in, 1-1/8in, 3-7/8in and 4-5/8in.  The template below is what the project will look like after creasing the score lines and cutting away the excess card stock.

2)  Fold over the large panel at the top on to the next panel and glue it into place with TOMBOW.  Stamp the three trick or treaters image towards the top of a piece of BASIC WHITE CARD STOCK cut at 2in by 2-1/2in.  Stamp the SAY BOO AND SCARY ON! sentiment over the image using MEMENTO BLACK INK.  Glue the panel on the box panel.

3) Assemble the box by placing TOMBOW on the 3/8in panel and glue it to the base of the large panel.  Next put two 2-1/2in by 1/2in DSP panels on the top and front sides of the box portion.  Slide in the lip balm and close up the ends.

4) Make a bow using the BLACK & WHITE GINGHAM RIBBON and attach it to the top left of the box using a GLUE DOT.

The video below shows how the box comes together.  Just click on it.
