Ten Terrific Halloween Projects- Project #3

Project #3 Pizza Box Treat Holder

My third project using the amazing new MINI PIZZA BOXES (144645) in the new HOLIDAY CATALOG.  These boxes are food safe and are the perfect size to hold Halloween Treats.  They come in packs of 8 for only $6.  It’s a great deal.

Decorating the boxes is fun and easy.  I started with the lid.  I took the piece of SPOOKY NIGHT DESIGNER SERIES PAPER (144610) that had the moon and tree branch image and I cut it into a 3 in by 3 in square being careful to center the moon in the middle of the square.  I then took the owl stamp from the SPOOKY CAT Stamp Set (144749) and stamped the image on the tree using BASIC BLACK ARCHIVAL INK (140931).  Adhere the square to a 3 ¼ in by 3 ¼ in square of BASIC BLACK CARDSTOCK (121045). Using the “happy OWL oween” sentiment, I stamped on a scrap of WHISPER WHITE CARDSTOCK (100730) and punched it out using the 1 INCH CIRCLE PUNCH (119868).  Adhere the circle to the lower left corner of the square of DSP with DIMENSIONALS (104430).  “Fussy cut” a witch hat from the DSP and adhere it just above the owls head with a DIMENSIONAL.  For secure the completed square as well as the side pieces, I used TOMBOW ADHESIVE (110755).  For the sides of the box, I used four strips of striped DSP cut at 5/8 in by 3 in and adhered them to four pieces of BASIC BLACK CARDSTOCK cut at ¾ in by 3 ¼ in.  Secure the side pieces using TOMBOW.  There you have it, the adorable box is ready for the treat of your choice.  You can also make 3 in by 3 in mini notecards with envelopes.  They fit perfectly inside.
