This week I'm excited to share with you a project using one of the amazing new suites in the 2022-23 STAMPIN' UP ANNUAL CATALOG. The BUTTERFLY KISSES SUITE is a lively, colorful and summery choice for card making. Using many of the new 2022-24 INCOLORS, the color palate is beautiful and gives the butterflies a modern twist.
For this card, I used the BEST BUTTERFLIES BUNDLE as well as the coordinating BUTTERFLY KISSES 6X6 DSP and the adorable FUN FLOWERS RESIN SHAPES.
To make the card, start with a piece of FRESH FRESIA card stock cut at 4-1/4in by 11in and score it at 5-1/2in and 9in. This is the base for your FUN FOLD CARD. Fold the card base in half then fold the remaining score line back, the opposite way.
Next, cut pieces of the BUTTERFLY KISSES 6X6 DSP to cover the panels of the card. You will need them cut at 4in by 5-1/4in for the inside of the card, and 4in by 1-1/4in and 4in by 3-1/4in for the outside panels. Adhere them using TOMBOW adhesive.
Cut a BASIC WHITE panel at 3in by 4-14in for the inside sentiment. Adhere that inside, on top of the DSP. For the outside panel, you will need a 3in by 4-1/4in piece of PARAKEET PARTY card stock and a 2-3/4in by 4in piece of BASIC WHITE. They will layer on top of each other. You will also need a 2in circle for the front sentiment.
On the BASIC WHITE 2-3/4in by 4in piece, stamp the circle images in a diagonal manner, using the FRESH FRESIA INK. Layer it on the PARAKEET PARTY panel and and adhere it to the front of the card using DIMENSIONALS.
On a scrap piece of BASIC WHITE card stock, stamp the upper wing image using PARAKEET PARTY INK, the lower wing image using FRESH FRESIA INK and the large butterfly body image using STARRY SKY INK. Cut them all out using the coordinating BUTTERFLY DIES. Put the butterfly together using TOMBOW and adhere it to the card front using DIMENSIONALS.
Stamp the sentiment using STARRY SKY INK on the 2in circle die and place it at the bottom left corner of the panel attached to the card front using DIMENSIONALS. Finally, add some FUN FLOWER RESIN SHAPES for a fun whimsical look. Check out the YOUTUBE link below to see how the card comes together.
