SALE A BRATION is happening NOW until the end of February and one of my first pick ups was the ADORABLE OWLS STAMP SET. These cute little owls are perfect for so many occasions and are fun to color to coordinate with the DSP. I used another SAB freebie, DANDY DESIGNS DESIGNER SERIES PACK. This paper is amazing, colors to last you through spring and summer. It's a $100 option because there are 48 12 by 12 sheets. WOW!!
After placing your owl, stamp the HOOT! HOOT! sentiment on a 3/4in strip of BASIC WHITE card stock, flag the right side of the strip and add it to the front of the card under the owl using DIMENSIONALS.
For the coordinating treat holder, start with a piece of FRESH FRESIA card stock measuring 3-1/8in by 4-1/2in. On the SHORT side, score at 1/2in from each end. On the LONG side, score at 1-1/2in and 2in. Fold and crease the score lines. Holding the panel in the portrait position, cut in on all the horizontal score lines to the vertical score line.
Before assembling, adhere two DSP panels measuring 1-7/8in by 1-3/8in (front) and 1-7/8in by 2-3/8in (back). Fold up the small panel of the box, place adhesive on the side tabs and press together.
On a scrap piece of BASIC WHITE card stock, stamp the bow tie owl using MEMENTO BLACK INK. I used CRUMB CAKE, CALYPSO CORAL, IVORY, BALMY BLUE and FRESH FRESIA BLENDS to color the owl. After fussy cutting, place the owl on the front of the treat holder using DIMENSIONALS. For the sentiment, I stamped "my friend" on a piece of BASIC WHITE card stock using MEMENTO BLACK INK and cut out the word "friend" and place it on the front beside the owl image using DIMENSIONALS. The treat holder will hold two regular size Ghirardelli Squares.
