8 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN- DAY #4- HALLOWEEN PEEPS TREAT HOLDER & COORDINATING CARD featuring the THEM BONES SUITE

Halloween is coming and my 8 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN SERIES is going strong.  This post is the fourth of eight in my series.  This project is a quick and fun one.  If you've been wandering the Halloween candy aisle in your local supermarket, you've seen the HALLOWEEN PEEPS.  PEEPS have now taken over all the holidays and I'm all for it. I got mine at the local DOLLAR GENERAL but they are available everywhere.

As with all the other projects, I used the adorable THEM BONES SUITE.

There is a great 12 by 12 sheet in the THEM BONES DESIGNER SERIES PAPER pack that includes a series of graveyard vignettes, perfect for scrapbook pages but also great for 3D projects and cards.

To create the PEEP treat wrap, start with a piece of STARRY SKY card stock measuring 5-1/2in by 9in.  On the LONG side, score at 1/2in, 1-1/2in, 4-3/4in, 5-3/4in.  Fold and crease these lines using your BONE FOLDER.  Put wrap together by adding TOMBOW to the 1/2in panel and close. Slide the PEEP treat in.

Cut out a piece of DSP measuring 3in by 5-1/4in.  The panel is cut from the sheet with the graveyard vignettes.  Choose the one you like, measure to center the scene and cut. Add it to the top of your treat holder.

Next, stamp the skeleton image using SMOKY SLATE INK and cut out using coordinating die.  Cut out the top hat and cane images in BASIC BLACK using the dies and the cute little bow tie image using PUMPKIN PIE.  Dress your skeleton and place him on the front of your treat holder using STAMPIN DIMENSIONALS.

Lastly, stamp the sentiment in STARRY SKY INK on BASIC WHITE card stock, punch it out using a 1-3/8in circle punch an place at the top left of the treat holder using STAMPIN DIMENSIONALS.

For the card, use the same DSP, cutting the panel at 4in by 5-1/4in.  Adhere that panel to a STARRY SKY card stock card base.  Stamp the skeleton image in SMOKY SLATE INK on BASIC WHITE card stock and cut out with the coordinating die.  Attach the skeleton to the card using a WOBBLE.  Check out the Day #1 project to see the link to these fun little springs for card making.

Stamp the HAPPY HALLOWEEN sentiment on BASIC WHITE card stock using STARRY SKY INK. Cut it out "ransom note style" and attach it to the card front using STAMPIN DIMENSIONALS.
