Loving the LIFT ME UP Bundle

When the Occasions Catalog was launched at ONSTAGE before Christmas, this bundle jumped off the page.  I've always loved hot air balloons and have frequently gone to local festivals to watch them be launched.  Stampin' Up has designed a beautiful set, with fabulous images and uplifting sentiments. (LIFT ME UP stamp set).  And during SALE A BRATION, if you buy this bundle, you can choose coordinating designer series paper from the SALE A BRATION catalog for FREE.  WOW!! Where do I begin?

To make this set of cards, I used five WHISPER WHITE card bases.  I then cut back ground pieces in all of the coordinating colors from the designer series paper (Night of Navy, Mint Macaron, Watermelon Wonder, Peekaboo Peach, and Smoky Slate).  Then I stamped the small balloon in all five colors and cut them out using the UP & AWAY FRAMELITS.  I cut out five clouds in WHISPER WHITE.  I adhered the cloud and balloon on a 2 1/2 in. scalloped square from the LAYERING SQUARES FRAMELITS.  Then I cut a variety of patterns from the DSP into 3 3/4 in by 4 in pieces.  Finally I stamped the sentiments on a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Night of Navy, punching them out using the DECORATIVE LABEL PUNCH. Then comes the fun.  Assembling the cards, putting together the color schemes you like.  It's so easy with Stampin' Up.  Everything goes together perfectly.  I tucked the sentiment under the DSP before adhering and used DIMENSIONALS on the balloon.  A little WHISPER WHITE BAKER'S TWINE adds a finishing touch.  So quick and easy and AWESOME. 

This card is another favorite and I will definitely be demonstrating this one at my next Stamp of the Month class.  The card bases for both are MINT MACARON.  I then adhered a background piece on each in PEEKABOO PEACH.  Using a piece of the CARRIED AWAY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER, I cut a piece at 3 3/4 in by 4 in.  I then put the piece of DSP on my trimmer and cut it at a diagonal across the front.  I then adhered it to the card front, carefully lining up the border and creating an inch wide diagonal strip.  Then I  stamped my sentiment there with NIGHT OF NAVY INK.  Using the corresponding framelits, I cut out four clouds in Whisper White and two large balloons, one WATERMELON WONDER and one NIGHT OF NAVY.  I adhered the balloon using TOMBOW glue and the clouds using DIMENSIONALS.  One of my balloons drifts off the card front so I snipped it at the edge of the DSP.  Doesn't get any cuter. 

This is a super quick card too.  I used a TEMPTING TURQUOISE card base.  I cut a piece of WATERCOLOR PAPER at 4 in. by 5 1/4 in.  I then got out my TEMPTING TURQUOISE INK PAD and using my AQUA PAINTER, I made a turquoise wash across the front of the paper.  While it was drying, I stamped a small WATERCOLOR WONDER balloon on a piece of PEEKABOO PEACH card stock.  Using my UP & AWAY FRAMELITS, I cut out one medium, one large cloud in WHISPER WHITE card stock, and the small balloon.  I stamped my sentiment in TEMPTING TURQUOISE INK in the bottom right corner of the card front.  Using SNAIL ADHESIVE, I adhered the large cloud and using DIMENSIONALS, I adhered the small cloud and balloon.  Because the card front is WATERCOLOR PAPER, I adhered it to the card base using TEAR AND TAPE to hold it more securely.  That's it.  So beautiful!!!
