Fall is on it's way here in PA. Finally after a long hot August, the weather is starting to turn. Stores have been displaying their Halloween merchandise for over a month already but I'm relieved to know we still have six weeks to prepare. The Stampin' Up Holiday Catalog just launched this month and there are some adorable Halloween product as always. I am in love with the TOIL & TROUBLE SUITE. The bundle has great images and sentiments and the framelits make it possible to cut out both the stamped images and the images on the Designer Series Paper...GENIUS!
For my third project in my 4 WEEK OF HALLOWEEN Series, I will be using the amazing ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD (133774) to make the treat holder. You may be thinking to yourself, "but the Envelope Punch Board only makes envelopes." Surprise!!! You'll be excited to know that it makes much, much more than envelopes.
Here's a video from Stampin' Up that shows how to make envelopes:
My project today uses the TOIL & TROUBLE SUITE along with the Envelope Punch Board to make a quick and easy candy treat holder for all those trick or treaters.
Here are the assembly instructions:
1. Cut a 5 in by 5in piece of Designer
Series Paper.
2. Using your ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD, line
up the first side at 2 1/4in-punch and score.
3. Slide the same side across to 2
3/4in-punch and score.
4. Now turn the paper clock wise and
line up the score lines with the pointer on the punch board- punch and
score. Do the same thing on the next two
sides.
5. Crease all the score lines using your
BONE FOLDER. Fold the treat holder up and decide with sides will be the top and
bottom. On the top, cut off the tiny
squares made by the score lines.
6. On the bottom of the treat holder,
snip the inside score line of the tiny squares, they will now be your flaps.
7. Put Tear & Tape on the underside
of the triangular flap coming up from the bottom.
8. Gently bring in the outside flaps of
the treat holder and then fold up the bottom flap and secure all sides
together.
9. Use a piece of glitter ribbon, to
wrap around the box and tie a bow. Cut
out a strip of Whisper White card stock at 2 1/4in by 1 in for your banner. Use
Memento ink for your sentiment.
10. Use the 2 in Circle Punch and the
Starburst punch to make the base of your embellishment. Choose an image from the DSP and cut it out
using the framelits. Adhere it to the treat pouch using dimensionals.
