Countdown To Christmas- Week 3 Festive Farmhouse Gift Box
The weeks are flying by and it's Week 3 already. This week I am using products from the Festive Farmhouse Suite in the Stampin' Up Occasions Catalog. What a beautiful, on trend group of products.
FARMHOUSE CHRISTMAS is the amazing stamp set in the suite. It includes all those great holiday images perfect for a "country" style holiday card. The coordinating framelits make creating easy. It was the Designer Series Paper in the suite that was the inspiration for my project. Who doesn't love a good plaid at Christmas?
There is a local store I love to shop at that makes handmade soaps. My daughters and I love to go and see what amazing new scents they have. Being a family of red heads, we all have sensitive skin and these soaps are very kind to our complexions. I love to share my love of soaps with friends so I thought a soap gift box would be a great project this holiday season.
I used the ENVELOPE PUNCH BOARD to make the box. I started with an 8in by 8in piece of DSP from the FESTIVE FARMHOUSE Suite, red plaid of course. On the first side, I PUNCHED and SCORED at 3in and 4 1/2in. Then following the score lines, I punched and scored the other three sides of the paper. I used FAST FUSE to adhere the box. The belly band was made using a 1 1/4in by 11in piece of BASIC BLACK card stock. The embellishment on the box was made using the 2in CIRCLE PUNCH and the STARBURST PUNCH. After stamping the sentiment in CHERRY COBBLER INK, I cut it out of the WHISPER WHITE card stock using the 2in punch. I stamped it again on a 1in by 3in piece of WHISPER WHITE card stock to create the Merry Christmas banner. I included a 1/2in by 4in strip of CHERRY COBBLER card stock behind the larger banner before adhering it to the circle using DIMENSIONALS. I then adhered the entire piece to a BASIC BLACK piece of card stock punch out using the STARBURST PUNCH. I then glued two sprigs of pine cut out of SHADED SPRUCE card stock using the PRETTY PINES FRAMELITS. This framelit set is a MUST for all Christmas projects. It includes a variety of sizes of pine sprigs and pine cones as well. To hid the ends of the sprigs, I glued a second STARBURST underneath for a cleaner look, then everything on the belly band with DIMENSIONALS. How festive!!!
