1)Start with
a SEASIDE SPRAY card base, cut at 8-1/2in by 5-1/2in, scored at 4-1/4in.
2)To create the
hinge, cut a piece of the PAPER BLOOMS DSP at 10in by 5-1/4in. Score at 4in,
4-1/2in, 5in, 5-1/2in, 6in.
3)Cut two ROCOCCO
ROSE card stock inside panels at 5in by 3-3/4in each.
4)For card
front, cut a piece of ROCOCCO ROSE card stock at 4in by 5-1/4in and a piece of a
coordinating DSP panel at 3-3/4in by 5in.
5)For the
inside of the card, adhere four coordinating DSP panels cut at 3-1/2in by
4-3/4in each to both sides of the inside ROCOCCO ROSE panels.
6)For
embellishing the card, I die cut a variety of flowers using the PIERCED BLOOMS
DIES using BLUSHING BRIDE, SEASIDE SPRAY, ROCOCCO ROSE and NIGHT OF NAVY card stock
for centers. Leaves are cut using SOFT
SEAFOAM.
7)For the
focal point on the front, I used a label from the HAPPY HIPPO DIES and a
sentiment from BEAUTIFUL FRIENDSHIP stamp set. I also placed flowers throughout the pages. Be creative and decorate.
My second project was a "sweet" little treat box. I put Ghirardelli Heart Duets in them but I'm sure other chocolates could fit as well. This time I used the FLOWER & FIELD paper, another FREEBIE from the Sale A Bration Brochure.
I made several versions based on the color palate of the paper. This design is quick and simple to make.
1)Cut a piece of BASIC BLACK card stock at 3-1/2in by 4-7/8in, score on
the LONG side at 1-1/2in and 1-7/8in. On
the SHORT side, score at 3/8in and 3-1/8in.
Here’s the template.
2) Before constructing the box, adhere the three DSP panels from the FIELD
& FLOWER Designer Series Paper stack.
The three panels are cut at 2-5/8in by 2-7/8in (2 panels) and 2-5/8in by
1-3/8in.
3) Using the PIERCED BLOOMS DIES, cut out a flower, center and leaf in
colors coordinating with the DSP you choose. Cut a piece of BASIC WHITE card
stock in a 1/2in by 1-3/4in strip for your sentiment. The sentiment is from the ART GALLERY stamp
set.
