Create a Beautiful Card Box with Coordinating Cards featuring the DANDY GARDEN SUITE

 

I know it's the end of January, but it's never too early to start thinking SPRING and creating SPRING projects.  One of my favorite spring suites is the DANDY GARDEN SUITE.  It has so many beautiful products.  Everything you need for any type of project you may want to make.

For this project, I will be using the amazing GARDEN WISHES BUNDLE and the DANDY GARDEN 6x6 DESIGNER SERIES PAPER.  

To create the card box, I used the following sizes of MISTY MOONLIGHT card stock:      

1. 4-3/4in by 7-3/8in, score at 6in on the LONG side (cut TWO of these)

2. 4-3/8in by 4-3/4in, score at 1-1/2in 2-7/8in on the SHORT side (this is for the flap)

3. 3/4in by 11in score at 1in from each end (this is the handle)

4. 3/4in by 4-3/4in (strip for front of box)

Cut the DANDY GARDEN DSP to create the front and back panels at 5-3/4in by 4-1/2in (cut two of these).  Attach magnet to front panel before adhering DSP.

Cut an ACETATE BOX in half the long way for your card holders inside the box.

Cut a circle from the STITCHED SHAPES in BASIC WHITE and coordinating scallop in MISTY MOONLIGHT.  You will adhere the other magnet to the flap just before adhering the circle over it on the front of the box.

Use MEMENTO BLACK INK, stamp a dragonfly image and punch it out using the DRAGONFLY PUNCH.  Color the dragonfly using the BLENDS of your choice.  

For the card design, start with a BASIC WHITE card base.  Cut a piece of BUMBLEBEE card stock at 4in by 5-1/4in and a piece of DSP at 3-3/4in by 5in and layer them together.  Add the 1in strip to the left of the panel.  Tie a piece of MOSSY MEADOW TWINE on the panel and adhere it to the card base.  Using the STITCHED SO SWEETLY DIES and cut them out using BASIC WHITE and MISTY MOONLIGHT.  Stamp on the BASIC WHITE piece the small dragonfly image in BUMBLE BEE INK.  Adhere both to card front.  Stamp the sentiment on a BUMBLE BEE card stock circle from the STITCHED SHAPES DIES and adhere to front using DIMENSIONALS.  Stamp the large dragonfly image using MEMENTO BLACK INK, punch it out using the DRAGONFLY PUNCH and color using the BLENDS of your choice.  Adhere to card front with DIMENSIONALS.  Cards fit into the box as shown.
