June is almost over and July 4th is approaching. Thought it was a great time to share some of my fun 4th of July projects so you can make them for friends and loved ones. I have created two 3D projects and a fun card.
1)For
the bottom of the box, use a piece of PACIFIC POINT card stock cut at 7in by
7in and scored at 2in on all four sides. For the box top, use a piece of REAL
RED card stock cut at 5-1/16in by 5-1/16in and scored at 1in on all four sides. Using your PAPER SNIPS, cut both panels to
release the flaps and adhere the box and lid together using TOMBOW.
2)Take
the three 1/2in by 4in BASIC WHITE card stock strips and adhere them to the
lid, spacing them evenly across as shown.
3)For
the rosette, take the 1in by 11in strip of PACIFIC POINT card stock that is
scored every 1/4in on the long side.
Crease all the score lines, creating a zig zag fold across the
strip. Using TOMBOW or TEAR & TAPE,
adhere the ends of the strip together, matching up the first “mountain fold”
with the last one. To create the rosette
shape, take a 1-3/8 in PACIFIC POINT CIRCLE and cover it with adhesive. Then push down on your zig zag loop so that
one side of the loop forms a circle and you are able to flatten it. Put the circle on top of the rosette in the
middle to hold the pleated sections in place.
Apply a generous amount of liquid glue to a second circle and adhere
that to the same area on the other side of the rosette. Let this dry for a few minutes.
4)Once dry, attach the rosette to the box at the top left corner. Adhere the BASIC WHITE star die cut on top. Lastly, take the two PACIFIC POINT card stock strips cut at 3/4in by 2in, flag the ends and tuck them under the rosette.
I love this cute little UNCLE SAM GIFT BAG. With a little bit of punch art, you can make it quick and easy.
1)For
the bag portion, start with a piece of BASIC WHITE cut at 8in by 8in. On the one 8in side, the card stock is scored
at 3in and 5in, on the other, scored at 2in and 6in. Crease the score lines and using your PAPER
SNIPS, cut to release the box flaps.
Using TOMBOW, adhere the box.
2)For
Uncle Sam’s face, use a 2-7/8in circle from the LAYERING CIRCLE DIES, and cut
out a PETAL PINK card stock circle.
Before adhering to the box front, you can take the PETAL PINK ink pad
and a BLENDING BRUSH and apply color to the cheek area. Then adhere in the center with about 1/2in
hanging over the top. Use a PAPER SNIPS
to remove excess card stock. Then adhere
the PACIFIC POINT card stock strip cut at 1in by 4in to the top front of the
bag for the hat brim.
3)Take
the BASIC WHITE card stock 1-3/8in circle, cut it in half and round the ends
with your PAPER SNIPS to create the moustache.
The adhere the 1/4in BASIC BLACK circles, the moustache, and finally the
1/2in PETAL PINK circle nose with a DIMENSIONAL.
4)For
the hat, start with a 3-1/2in by 2-3/4in piece of REAL RED card stock and
adhere three 1/2in strips of BASIC WHITE in a vertical fashion. Round the top two corners of this panel and
then adhere it behind the bag front.
5)Finish
with an 11in by 1in strip of BASIC WHITE card stock for the handle. Decorate the hat with the die cut star.
And finally, if you need a card to give to the hostess of a picnic you attend or a neighbor or friend to include with a plate of cookies, this card reflects a patriotic, country style. I used the JAR OF FLOWERS bundle for this one.
2)Color
the flower image using DAFFODIL DELIGHT, MANGO MELODY, CRUMB CAKE and OLD OLIVE
BLENDS. Fussy cut the image out of the
card stock and adhere it above the blue jar using DIMENSIONALS.
3)Add
the LINEN THREAD bow to the center jar with a GLUE DOT. Adhere the 4in by 5-1/4in piece of BASIC
WHITE card stock to the inside of the card.
I will be offering these projects as a kit for customers starting June 29th to the end of July. Below shows details.
