VALENTINE'S DAY TREAT BOX SERIES- PROJECT #2- Russell Stover Strawberry Cream Chocolate Heart Treat Box

Valentine's Day is a little more than a month away and I'm continuing my treat box series.  This is my second post and it includes a very yummy treat, perfect for the holiday.  As with my first project, I will be using the SWEET CONVERSATIONS SUITE from the new 2022 Jan-June Mini Catalog.  This suite brings back happy memories of childhood which of course include a box or two of those yummy Conversation Hearts.  The images and the color palate of this suite is SWEET.

1)Start with a piece of HIGHLAND HEATHER card stock cut at 8in by 7-1/2in.  On the LONG side, score at 3/4in, 3-3/4in, 4-1/2in,7-1/2in.  On the SHORT side, score at 3/4in, 4-3/4in, 5-1/2in.  Crease on all the score lines using your BONE FOLDER.  Using your PAPER SNIPS cut away excess card stock.  Your treat box should look like the template below when you're finished.

2) Before putting the box together, round the corners of the front flap with the DETAILED TRIO PUNCH. Then adhere the three DSP panels using TOMBOW, two cut at 3-7/8in by 2-7/8in and one cut at 1-7/8in by 2-7/8in.  Punch a hole in the bottom of the front flap using the DETAILED TRIO PUNCH again to allow for ribbon the be threaded through the completed box. Finally used the LABEL ME LOVELY PUNCH to create a fancy edge to the treat pocket.

3)Apply a piece of TEAR & TAPE on the 1/2in edge strip and assemble the box.  Close the flap on the box and run some REAL RED FAUX LINEN RIBBON through the hole and tie just above the hole.

4)Stamp and emboss the UR CUTE heart on HIGHLAND HEATHER card stock.  Cut out the heart and an additional BLUSHING BRIDE card stock using the coordinating die.  Adhere to each other as shown and then place on the box using DIMENSIONALS.

Check out the YOUTUBE video below to see how the treat box comes together.
