8 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN- DAY #6- MATCHBOOK STYLE TREAT HOLDER & COORDINATING CARD featuring the THEM BONES SUITE

For DAY #6 in my 8 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN SERIES, I created this cute MATCHBOOK STYLE TREAT HOLDER and COORDINATING CARD. I used FUN SIZE bags of Swedish Fish and Sour Patch Kids Minis.  Bought mine at the DOLLAR GENERAL.

This is another quick project that can be put together in multiples for large numbers of treat or treaters.  I used the THEM BONES SUITE for these projects.  Just love the BAG OF BONES BUNDLE and the coordinating THEM BONES DESIGNER SERIES PAPER.  What I love about this sweet is that if you are in a hurry and want to eliminate some of the step, Stampin Up offers paper in the pack that can be die cut using the suite's die to cut out the adorable images.  All the images on both these projects are cut right from the DSP, NO STAMPING!!

To create this treat holder, start with a piece of CAJUN CRAZE card stock cut at 3-1/2in by 8in.  On the LONG side, score at 3-1/8in, 3-5/8in and 7in. Fold and crease these score lines with your BONE FOLDER.

Cut two panels of coordinating DSP (I used the orange herring bone design) one measuring 3-1/4in by 3in and one measuring 3-1/4in by 3/4.  Lay the treat holder flat on your work surface in the landscape position. Adhere the smaller strip on the small panel and the larger strip on the opposite end using TOMBOW.

Choose two packs of the candy, lay them together on the panel just above the small panel.  Fold that panel up and staple to secure the packets in place.  Fold over the top flap and slide in behind the small panel just like a match book.

To embellish, I used the THEM BONES DIES and cut out a cat, dog and skeleton torso image from the DSP.  I also cut out a 2in circle of SMOKY SLATE card stock using a punch.  I stamped the sentiment at the top right side of the circle using SMOKY SLATE INK.

I added the dog and cat on the circle as shown using TOMBOW.  I then adhered the circle to the treat holder using STAMPIN DIMENSIONALS.  I tucked the skeleton behind the circle and added a bow using BLACK & WHITE GINGHAM RIBBON.

For the card, start with a piece of CAJUN CRAZE card stock for the card base.  Cut a panel of the orange herringbone design at 4in by 5-1/4in and layer.  Cut another coordinating design at 3in by 5-1/4in and add to the card front as shown.

Cut out a skeleton, a cat and a dog image from the DSP with the coordinating dies.  In addition, cut out the mausoleum and tombstone using SMOKY SLATE card stock.  Cut out a 1-3/8in circle of the GLOW IN THE DARK SPECIALTY PAPER for the moon and a 5/8in strip of BASIC WHITE card stock for the sentiment.

Add the moon and the mausoleum to the card front with TOMBOW as shown.  Stamp the sentiment on the tombstone with SMOKY SLATE INK and and layer it on the mausoleum with STAMPIN DIMENSIONALS.  Finally add the images with DIMENSIONALS, stamp the sentiment with CAJUN CRAZE INK and add at the bottom of the card front as shown.
