It's BACK TO SCHOOL time and in this blog post, I'll share two quick and cute projects you can put together for all those kids in your class or in the neighborhood. It's an exciting time of the year and its always nice to have treats to share. For these projects, I used the 6X6 INCOLOR PAPER PACK. Such a great product to have on hand to make projects. You can use any sentiments you have. I used ones from the BIGGEST WISH and FOREVER FERN stamp sets.
First, let's make the cookie box. This design can be used for many different kind of bagged snacks. Start with a piece of WILD WHEAT card stock measuring 6in by 11in. On the LONG side, score at 4-1/4in, 5-1/4in, 9-1/2in, 10-1/2in. On the SHORT side, score at 1in. Fold and crease all the score lines. With the 1in panel along the bottom, cut up each of the vertical score lines to create the flaps and remove the 1/2in flap with your paper snips.
Before assembling, adhere a 4in by 4-3/4in piece of DSP to the front panel. Add TOMBOW to the 1/2in vertical flap and attach the sides together. Adhere the bottom flaps together.
Add a 1in by 4in strip of WILD WHEAT card stock across the front of the box as shown. Cut a 2-1/8in BASIC WHITE circle and a 2-1/4in WILD WHEAT circle. Stamp the "hello" and "friend" sentiments on the BASIC WHITE circle using WILD WHEAT ink. Layer the two circles and place it on the front of the box with DIMENSIONALS.
Cut another strip of the DSP measuring 3in by 1-1/2in, fold in half and staple to the top of the bag of cookies.
Another quick way to step up a treat involves the delicious RICE KRISPIE TREAT BARS- CLASSIC SIZE. Cut a piece of BOHO BLUE DSP measuring 3-1/2in by 6in and using TEAR N TAPE, wrap and secure the paper around the treat.
Stamp the sentiment on a 2in BOHO BLUE circle and attach to the treat using DIMENSIONALS. Lastly, tie a piece of ribbon from the SHEER RIBBON COMBO PACK around the treat.
