MONDAY FUN DAY with The Wexford Stamper- Let's make a BOX CARD featuring the FRESH AS A DAISY SUITE

It's MONDAY FUN DAY!!  I'm starting a new weekly FB LIVEstream featuring fun projects I've been working on over the weekend before. For my first official MFD, I'm sharing this adorable BOX CARD.  For this project, I used the cute CHEERFUL BASKET STAMP SET.  This photopolymer stamp set had great seasonal images and an adorable cat.  This design comes together really quickly and is great for any occasion.

After looking more carefully at my annual catalog, I noticed that this stamp set is no longer available.  I wanted to share a similar project that uses a catalog item currently available.  I found a favorite, CHEERFUL DAISIES, to make a beautiful bouquet BOX CARD, perfect for a birthday or get well card.

For the base of the BOX CARDS, start with a piece of PRETTY PEACOCK card stock measuring 8-1/2in by 5-1/2in.  On the LONG side, score at 2in, 4in, 6in and 8in.  On the SHORT side, score at 2-3/4in.  The template below shows how your box card should look after scoring, creasing and cutting away the excess card stock.

The longest panel is the back of your box card and should not be folded.  On the back of that panel, add a panel of cardboard measuring 1-7/8in by 5-3/8in to give it more strength (I used the cardboard from my DSP pack). If you are want to stamp on that back panel, add a panel of BASIC WHITE over the cardboard.  On the inside of that panel, add a piece of DSP from the FRESH AS A DAISY DSP PACK measuring 1-7/8in by 5-3/8in.

Put TOMBOW on the small 1/2in tab and create the box.  Fold down the three flaps and crease.  Add three coordinating DSP panels to the three sides of the base, each measuring 2-5/8in by 1-7/8in.  On the folded down flaps, add three more pieces of coordinating DSP measuring 1-7/8in by 1-5/8in.

Score at 1/2in from each end of the two 1in by 3in strips.  These will be the bridge pieces that secure on the inside of each side of the box, across the middle.  Fold over the ends and place them inside with TOMBOW.

Using the CHEERFUL DAISIES BUNDLE, stamp two large and three small daisy images using BASIC WHITE card stock and TUXEDO BLACK MEMENTO INK.  Cut out these flowers with the dies.  Using CRUSHED CURRY card stock, cut out the flower centers using the coordinating dies. Die cut two pieces of greenery using PRETTY PEACOCK card stock.  Cut out three 1/2 in strips of PRETTY PEACOCK card stock to help secure the flowers to the card.  Assemble as shown using TOMBOW and DIMENSIONALS.  Add the birthday sentiment, stamped in TUXEDO BLACK MEMENTO INK on a SOFT SEAFOAM card stock oval die and add to the back of the card using DIMENSIONALS.
