My favorites are the beautiful photopolymer stamp set, GATHER TOGETHER and the coordinating dies, GATHERED LEAVES DIES. Buy them as a bundle and save 10%.
As always, Stampin' Up's designers have created amazing paper that really says FALL, even when the weather won't cooperate. Colors include Merry Merlot, Mint Macaron, Pretty Peacock and Cajun Craze. AMAZING!!
There are also some amazing embellishments, including wooden elements and beautiful ribbon and baker's twine. Check those out in my online store. As I was in the planning stages for this project, I came across a hidden gem in the Annual Catalog. Buried within the pages of the PRESSED PETAL SUITE, was an adorable PRESSED PETALS JOURNAL. The wire bound journal has lovely embossed covers and the inside is filled with beautiful art designs and lots of room to write. That's when it hit me. I know we think about being thankful this time of year but we really should be thinking about all our blessing all year round. "I'm going to make a Gratitude Journal" and this is how it turned out.
I thought it would be great to design a box so I could give it to someone as a gift. I used a couple of stamp sets and dies in addition to the ones in the suite. I think it came out great. It's easy and anyone can put it together for yourself or as a gift.
For the journal, I used a 4-1/4in by 5-1/4in piece of PRETTY PEACOCK CARD STOCK for the cover. I adhered a piece of the COME TO GATHER DESIGNER SERIES PAPER cut at 4in by 5in. The label I made for the cover is in VERY VANILLA CARD STOCK and comes for the TO A WILD ROSE BUNDLE. I stamped the "Blessed" sentiment using MERRY MERLOT INK and adhered it to the front with dimensionals. Then I cut out leaves and a pumpkin from the GATHER SUITE, used MINT MACARON and CAJUN CRAZE CARD STOCK and colored the pumpkin image with my PUMPKIN PIE BLENDS. I tied a piece of the PRETTY PEACOCK SCALLOPED LINEN RIBBON to the top of the spiral rings and there you have it.
For the box, I cut two pieces of cardstock at 7-3/4in by 7-1/2in, one was MINT MACARON and the other was EARLY ESPRESSO. The EARLY ESPRESSO piece on the top of the box measures 5-1/4in by 5-1/2in. The DSP measures 5in by 5-1/4in. The video tutorial below shows how everything came together.
