FUN WITH THE BEST DRESSED SUITE

Being a former athlete and the world's biggest tomboy, you would think the BEST DRESSED SUITE would not appeal to me and at first I was a little hesitant.  But once I got these products in my hands, I was so excited to play and create.

The centerpiece of the suite is the DRESSED TO IMPRESS BUNDLE.  The photopolymer stamp images are very "girlie" and include purses, make up and perfume bottles.  The handbag die cut and coordinating buckles is pretty amazing.

The Designer Series Paper in the suite comes in a 6in by 6in stack and is adorned by the same shoes, make up and perfume bottles as well as bright flowers and stripes.

Here are some of my card creations.

I really love how this card came out.  I was inspired by a similar card in the mini catalog.  I love how the Smoky Slate ink helps the card take on a muted tone.  I used the brush stroke stamped images to color the lipstick, the perfume bottle and the flowers.  I used my Highland Heather Blend to color the white tassel.  My mom would have loved this card.  It's her first Mother's Day in heaven.

For this card I used a piece of watercolor paper to make the background.  I squeezed a few drops of Daffodil Delight ink and Lovely Lipstick in on an acrylic block.  Using a paint brush, I wet the paper first, then lightly applied random brush strokes of each color, starting on the outside and then moving to the middle.  Using a regular paint brush made the colors more vivid then they would be with an Aqua Painter.  I also stamped the lip stick image on both Whisper White card stock and DSP, fussy cut the lip stick case from the patterned paper and adhered it to the Whisper White image.  I love how that turned out.  I used White Embossing Powder on the Basic Black Stitched Circle to make the sentiment stand out.

These last two were CASE'D from the mini catalog.  Such cute fun colors.
