MORE WITH THE BEST DRESSED SUITE IN 3D

Many of you know that I am obsessed with 3D projects.  I enjoy using the products in the suite to make boxes, gift bags and treat holders.  The BEST DRESSED SUITE made it easy to create.  Here are some of my favorite creations.

These cute little boxes would be perfect party favors.  I used paper from the BEST DRESSED 6" X 6" DESIGNER SERIES PAPER STACK and I chose coordinating card stock (Blackberry Bliss, Lovely Lipstick).  I used White Embossing Powder to make the tags (cut out using the 1-3/8 circle punch).  They are tied together using WHISPER WHITE BAKER'S TWINE.  You start with a piece of cardstock that is 4in by 11in.  On the long side, score at 2-5/8in, 5-1/4in, 7-7/8in and 10-1/2in.  On the short side, score at 1-3/4in.  The DSP panels you need are cut at 2-3/8in by 2in.  You'll need 4.  The video below shows how the box is put together.

This long narrow box with a belly band would be a perfect gift box for jewelry or make up.  The box is made using LOVELY LIPSTICK CARD STOCK and the belly band uses a strip of paper from the DSP stack.  The PETAL PINK METALLIC-EDGE RIBBON is not from this suite but I thought it was a perfect addition.  It can be found in the PARISIAN BLOSSOMS SUITE.  You start with a piece of cardstock that is 5-1/2in by 8in.  On the long side, score at 1-1/4in and 6-3/4in.  On the short side, score at 1-1/4in, 2-1/2in, 3-3/4in and 5in.  The DSP belly band measures 3in by 5-3/4in.  The video below shows how the box is put together.

My favorite 3D project from this suite is my Stack of Boxes.  I was inspired by Sam of Pootles Papercraft, taking her brilliant design and giving it a new twist.

I thought this would be a great set of boxes for a girls birthday.  You could fill them with lots of  "girlie" items like make up, chocolates and jewelry.  The  hinged boxes are in one piece and stack easily for the presentation.  To make this project, I used PETAL PINK, MINT MACARON and HIGHLAND HEATHER CARDSTOCK.  I chose coordinating DSP for each box and tied them together with the fabulous PETAL PINK METALLIC-EDGE RIBBON.  To make the largest box, you need an 11in by 6in piece of cardstock.  On the long side, score at 1in, 5in, 6in, and 10in.  On the short side, score at 1in and 5in.  For the medium size box, use a piece of cardstock measuring 9in by 5in.  On the long side, score at 1in, 4in, 5in, and 8in. On the short side, score at 1in and 4in.  Finally, for the small box, start with a piece 7in by 4in.  Score on the long side at 1in, 3in, 4in, and 6in.  On the short side score at 1in and 3in.  The DSP panels you will need for the top of each box are cut at 3-7/8in by 3-7/8in, 2-7/8in by 2-7/8in and 1-7/8in by 1-7/8in.  For the tag, I used a 2-1/4in by 1in piece of WHISPER WHITE CARDSTOCK and stamped the sentiment using LOVELY LIPSTICK INK. The video below will show you how the box stack is assembled.
