My excitement for the PEACEFUL POPPIES SUITE started as soon as the 2020 Mini Catalog was placed in hands. The catalog's cover was adorned amazing projects made using the suite and I couldn't wait to get it into my own studio. Look at all the products available.
Not only does it have two complete bundles (PAINTED POPPIES BUNDLE, PEACEFUL MOMENTS BUNDLE) with gorgeous flower images and beautiful sentiments, it also has the most wonderful Designer Series Paper, sequins and ribbon.
I'm sharing a uniquely designed card and a cute mini explosion box on this blog post. I'm excited to share them both. The card is made by using a 4-1/4in by 11in piece of DSP, scored at 5-1/2in and 10in. The card base is then folded in half and the inch wide strip is folded back and adhered to the card front. I then used the beautiful flower die cuts and the sentiment stamps to complete the card. Click below on the video tutorial to see how it comes together.
The Mini Explosion Box is one of my most favorite 3D projects so far this year. The box's unique design and the Lindor Truffle inside makes it a great gift for anyone you love.
To make the box shown below in the video tutorial, you will have to construct three parts, the lid, the box and the candy base. To make the lid, you will need a 7-5/8in by 7-5/8in piece of POOL PARTY CARD STOCK, scored at 1-1/2in and 3in on all four sides For the base, use a piece of POOL PARTY CARD STOCK cut at 4-1/2in by 4-1/2in and scored at 1-1/2in on all four sides. The small insert which holds the candy in place is a piece of POOL PARTY CARD STOCK cut at 2-7/8in by 2-7/8in and scored at 3/8in and 3/4in. The pieces of DSP needed to decorate the box are cut at 1-1/2in by 1-1/2in (1), 1-1/2in by 1-3/8in (4) and 1-1/4in by 1-1/4in (4). Watch the video below to see how the project comes together.
