SALE A BRATION is coming to a close. LET'S MAKE SOME PROJECTS USING THE FAVORED FLOWERS FREEBIE

Only one week left if you want to take advantage of all the FREEBIES during the 2023 SALE A BRATION. My favorite part of the SAB Brochure is all the amazing Designer Series Paper choices.  For this blog post, I will share some projects using the FAVORED FLOWERS DSP. This option is available FREE with a $50 order.

The first project is a set of three cards in a coordinating card holder. Let's create the cards first.

Start with a BASIC WHITE card stock card base cut at 8-1/2in by 5-1/2in, scored at 4-1/4in.  Adhere the MOSSY MEADOW checked piece of DSP measuring 5-1/2in by 4-1/4in, to the front of the card.  Layer with the coordinating floral DSP measuring 3-3/4in by 5-1/2in.

With a 1/8in circle punch, create a notch on the fold of the card about 1/3 of the way up the card front.  Thread a piece of VERY VANILLA baker's twine from the BAKER'S TWINE ESSENTIALS PACK.  You can double up the twine if you like.  Slide the bow to the right side of the card.

Cut a 2-1/4in BASIC BLACK circle using the LAYERED CIRCLE DIES.  Using VERSAMARK INK, stamp the sentiment in the center.  I used a sentiment from the SIMPLY SUCCULENTS STAMP SET.  Cover the sentiment with WHITE EMBOSSING POWDER and heat with HEAT GUN.  Add to the card using DIMENSIONALS.  Embellish with CLASSIC MATTE DOTS.

The coordinating card holder is a quick make using a piece of coordinating DSP cut at 8in by 12in. With the panel of DSP in portrait position, score the DSP at 1/2in and 1in from each end.  Turn the DSP to the LONG side and score at 3-1/2in, 4in, 8-1/2in, 9in.  The diagram below shows the score lines and the areas that will be cut away.  Thanks to Kimberly Morris, another amazing creator, for the diagram below.

After cutting away the excess DSP, place adhesive on the two outer most panels and fold the card holder together.  I used a corner rounder to give it a finish look.

Place the three cards and envelopes in the holder and punch a small hole in the top flap.  Take a piece of coordinating ribbon, thread it through the hole, wrap it around the holder and tie a bow on the front.

Another card I created is the POCKET CARD.  These are fun to make and work well for a quick note you may be laying on someone's desk or slipping in someone's bag.

Start with a strip of DSP cut at 4in by 12in.  On the LONG side, score at 6in and 9-3/4in.  Fold on the 6in score line and create the rounded edge using the BASIC BORDERS DIES.

Fold down the second fold to create the pocket.  For the insert, begin with a piece of MOSSY MEADOW card stock cut at 3-3/4in by 5-1/2in and a piece of BASIC WHITE cut at 3-1/2in by 5-1/4in.  Before adhering together, slide the top ends together and cut using the curved die from the BASIC BORDERS DIES.  Center the top layer and glue together. If you like, you can stamp a sentiment in the top right corner.  I used MOSSY MEADOW INK and a thank you sentiment from the SEASIDE BAY STAMP SET.  Slide the insert in and tie a coordinating piece of ribbon around the pocket to keep it closed.

For the embellishment on the front, fussy cut a large arrangement of flowers from a coordinating piece of DSP.  Then adhere to your pocket using DIMENSIONALS.  Finally, I embellished with BASIC PERARLS on the front of the pocket.

A large gift bag is always fun to make with a beautiful floral print DSP.

Start with a piece of 12in by 12in DSP.  On the first 12in side, score at 2-7/8in, 5-3/4, 8-5/8in, 11-1/2in.  Turn clockwise, and score this side at 2-7/8. Crease all the score lines.

With a PAPER SNIPS, cut the flaps apart. These will create the bottom.  On the 1/2in panel, cut away the rectangle connected to these flaps.  Apply glue to the 1/2in panel remaining and assemble the gift bag.  Fold up the flaps and adhere.

Fold in the top of the bag to create an X. Using a 1/8in circle punch, punch two  holes on each side about 1/2in from the top and close to the fold.  Thread coordinating ribbon through the holes.

For the tag, use the TAILOR MADE TAGS to create the BASIC WHITE tag.  I fussy cut a smaller flower out of the DSP and adhered it to the tag, near the hole, using DIMENSIONALS. I stamped the sentiment from the CUP OF TEA STAMP SET using MOSSY MEADOW INK.  Thread it on the ribbon and tie the bow.
