SETTLED IN AND READY TO STAMP WITH THE FRESH AS A DAISY SUITE

It's been a while since I posted and a lot has happened.  My family made a big move down South and we are finally feeling like we are settled in.  You can imagine how long it took me to get my craft room in order but we are finally there.  The picture below shows how well things are going.  Miles is feeling content with the new digs and has found a new favorite place to relax.

For my first post from the new 2023-24 ANNUAL CATALOG, I chose the adorable FRESH AS A DAISY SUITE.  This suite has everything you need to make bright and cheery cards this summer.

The CHEERFUL DAISIES BUNDLE includes a photopolymer stamp set with great daisy images and cheerful sentiments.  The dies will cut out many of the images but they will also layer to make gorgeous 3D flowers.

The cute little ADHESIVE-BACKED SOLID GEMS add a great finishing touch to your card but the FRESH AS A DAISY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER, steals the show.  The images look like paintings where you can see all the artist's brush strokes; just beautiful.

You all know how much I love making 3D projects, so I thought I would start out with one in this series.  While shopping in our new favorite grocery store, Ingle's, I came across these little beauties. CHURRO KIT KATS!!!!!

I thought these would make a great treat for inside my AUGUST CARD KIT.  This is a quick and easy project you can make for all the sweeties in your life.

1) Start with a piece of BUBBLE BATH card stock cut at 7in by 7in.

2) On the first side, score at 1/2in, 3-1/4in, 3-3/4in and 6-1/2in.

3) Turn the card stock and score on the other 7in side at 1/2in, 4-1/2in and 5in

4) After cutting away the excess card stock your box should look like the template below.

5) Assemble the box using liquid glue.  Cut a piece of the FRESH AS A DAISY DSP for the front panel measuring 3-7/8in by 2-5/8in and a piece for the box flap measuring 2-5/8in by 1-7/8in.  Before attaching the front panel, adhere a craft magnet about 1in from the top.  Adhere the front panel DSP.

6) Close the flap and place a second craft magnet so that it sticks to the first.  Using a GLUE DOT, adhere the second to that position then lay the DSP over it.  You can round the corners of the flap and DSP panel if you like.

7) Die cut a 1-7/8in circle from the STYLISH SHAPES DIES using WILD WHEAT card stock.  Stamp the sentiment at the top of the circle using WILD WHEAT INK. Using TOMBOW, attach a small daisy, cut using BASIC WHITE card stock.  Finally add a LINEN THREAD bow using a GLUE DOT.

This video below shows how the treat box comes together.
