The Wexford Stamper's Halloween Series- Project #1-Trail Mix Treat Box (Cassette Style)

As soon as I spot the pumpkin spice coffees and the aisles of FUN SIZE candy, I know that HALLOWEEN is coming soon.  It also reminds me that it's time for my Halloween Treat Box Series.  The first project is my series is the Cassette Style Treat Box.  This box is approximately the size of a cassette case with a belly band to keep it closed.  For all the projects in this series, I have used the GHOULISH GOODIES Stamp Set and the MAGIC IN THIS NIGHT Designer Series Paper.

I love the color palette in this paper.  It made it so easy to coordinate all my projects.

For this treat box, I started with a piece of BLACKBERRY BLISS card stock cut at 6in by 9in.  On the SHORT side, score at 3/4in from both ends.  On the LONG side, I scored at 1-1/2in, 2-1/4in, 5-1/4in and 6in.  Below is a picture of the box template after it has been cut.

For the panels on the box, I used coordinating paper from the MAGIC IN THIS NIGHT DSP. Two cut at 4-1/4in by 2-3/4in and one panel cut at 4-1/4in by 1-1/4in.  For the belly band, I used a 1in by 9in strip of card stock.  The image is stamped on a 2in circle with a coordinating scalloped circle.  Below is a video tutorial showing how the treat box
