FIVE WEEKS OF HALLOWEEN- WEEK 3 Treat Box with Chocolates and a SURPRISE inside

September is flying by and Halloween will be here before we know it.  My project for the third week of my FIVE WEEKS OF HALLOWEEN series is a cute little treat box with a surprise inside.  To make this project, I used the adorable CUTE HALLOWEEN SUITE.

The 6X6 paper stack is so fun and coordinates with the HALLOWEEN PUNCH.

The images and sentiments in the CUTEST HALLOWEEN STAMP SET are great.  For this project I used the "Have a fa(boo)lous Halloween".  Going with the ghost theme this time.  I also used the PLAYFUL ALPHABET DIES for the surprise inside.

For the treat box, start with an 10in by 3in piece of PUMPKIN PIE card stock.  On the SHORT SIDE, score at 1in and 2-1/2in.  On the LONG SIDE, score at 1/2in, 4-3/4in, 5-1/4in and 9-1/2in.  For the lid of the box, use a piece of the ghost DSP cut at 4-3/8in by 1-7/8.  Below is a template of the box before the DSP is adhered.

After assembling the box, stamp the sentiment on a 1/4in strip of BASIC WHITE card stock using MEMENTO BLACK INK. Adhere it to the box at the top right as shown above.

To make the tag, use the small scallop circle die from the PAINTED LABELS DIES. Using the 1-3/8in CIRCLE PUNCH, punch out a DSP circle (I used the BOO design).  Adhere it to the center of your circle.  Using the HALLOWEEN PUNCH, punch a ghost image out of the DSP.  Adhere that to the scallop circle using DIMENSIONALS.

String the tag on a piece of BLACK &WHITE GINGHAM RIBBON and set it aside for now.

To make the surprise in the box, cut out the letters for BOO as well as an exclamation mark. Take four Hershey Miniatures and wrap them using a 1-1/2in by 2-1/2in piece of DSP, securing it with TEAR & TAPE.  Adhere the letters using TOMBOW LIQUID GLUE.  Place the candies inside and tie the ribbon and tag around the box.
