Beautiful Lidded Box using the Magnolia Lane Suite

The Magnolia Lane Suite in the brand new Stampin' Up Annual Catalog offers so many possibilities for scrapbooking, card making and 3D projects.

The card samples from my last blog post used the beautiful large magnolia image.  But there are so many more possibilities with this stamp set and paper. Here are a few more card samples made using this suite.

This month is the first month I am offering the opportunity to make a scrapbook page layout after we finish our cards at the Stamp of the Month club event.  I used to scrapbook frequently and I have large books lining the bookshelf.  But my kids are grown and I only occasionally put an album together these days.  I was a little nervous about the project, but with the paper and embellishments offered in this suite, it was really easy.  Here's my layout.  Just look at the beautiful paper, ribbon and cork embellishments.  Love it.

One of my favorite projects was the Lidded Box.  I loved using the 3D flowers to embellish the lid.  This box is HUUUGE!  Perfect for lots different kinds of goodies.

To make this box, all you need is a piece of 12 by 12 Designer Series Paper and a piece of 12 by 12 coordinating cardstock.  Starting with the cardstock, use your SIMPLY SCORED SCORING TOOL and score at 4 inches on all four sides.  For the DSP you will need to use a shim so that the lid is snug but not too tight.  You will then score at 1 in and 4 in on all four sides.  Below is a video tutorial for the box and the embellishments on top.

If you have any questions about this or any project on my blog, please don't hesitate to email me or message me.  If you are interested in any of the products shown in my projects, you can go to my online store to purchase them.  Just click below.
