A Unicorn Treat Box and a Thank "Ewe" Card using the HIPPO HAPPINESS BUNDLE

This week's posts feature the adorable HIPPO HAPPINESS BUNDLE from the Annual Catalog.  This stamp set is so adorable, with unicorns, sheep, hippo and butterfly images to help you make whimsical cards and 3D items for family and friends. In addition to the images, you get a great set of dies with amazing label dies in three different unique designs.  They make the bundle so versatile.  I'm sure I will be using these labels for my holiday cards.  The project today is a favorite of mine, the Unicorn Treat Box.  I also made a cute Thank "Ewe" card. 

In addition to the featured bundle, I also used the bright and bold paper from the PLAYING WITH PATTERNS SUITE.  The color palate went beautifully with my creations.

To make the box, I started with a piece of MAGENTA MADNESS CARD STOCK cut at 7in by 5-1/2in.  On the LONG side, I scored at 1in, 5-1/2in, 6-1/2in.  On the SHORT side, I scored at 1in, 2-1/2in, 3-1/2in,, 5in,   The DSP panel used on the front of the box measures 1-3/8in by 4-3/8in.  In the video tutorial below, you can see how the project came together;  I also shared some tips on how to get a good image when you are doing two-step stamping.

GRUMPY CAT TREAT BOX

I've always been a pet lover and Stampin' Up's new PLAYFUL PETS SUITE is perfect for those stampers who love their dogs and cats.  The suite has everything you need to make adorable cards for friends and family.  The stamp set has cute dog and cat images and sentiments for a variety of occasions.  The coordinating die set cuts out the stamped images as well as those in the PLAYFUL PETS DESIGNER SERIES PAPER.  

I will be having an online card class this month using this suite. Here are a few of my card samples.

My Grumpy Cat box however, is my favorite project using this suite.  It's so easy to make. I designed the box to hold two packs of Bubblicious Bubble Gum but it can hold a lot of things, even a gift card.  I started with a piece of FLIRTY FLAMINGO CARD STOCK cut at 7-1/8in by 6-3/4in.  On the LONG SIDE, score at 3/4in, 1-1/2in, 5-5/8in and 6-3/8in.  On the SHORT SIDE, score at 3/4in, 3in, 3-3/4in and 6in.  The DSP panel on the front is cut at 4in by 2-1/8in.  I used the 2in CIRCLE PUNCH and coordinating scallop and ''fussy cut' the cat image out ot the designer series paper.  The sentiment is stamped on a 5/8in strip of FLIRTY FLAMINGO.  The template below shows how to cut the card stock.

A Beautiful Treat Boxes for Mother's Day or ANY DAY

May is just around the corner and that means it's time to celebrate the season of Spring.  More importantly is Mother's Day where we celebrate the lives of the women that have impacted our lives.  What a perfect time to show our appreciation with a special treat!

I got this amazing idea from the KITCHEN TABLE STAMPER.  This cute treat box uses a 6in by 6in piece of BEST DRESSED 6in by 6in DESIGNER SERIES PAPER from the BEST DRESSED SUITE.  To make the daffodil flower, I used the FOUR-PETAL FLOWER, the LEAF PUNCH and a tiny flower punch.  

This box comes together quickly and is a great choice for mass production. On the 6in by 6in piece of DSP, score on every side at 1in. On the first side score also at 2-1/2in and 3-1/2in.

For the daffodil, I used the POP OF PETALS PUNCH and the LEAF PUNCH using PINEAPPLE PUNCH and OLD OLIVE CARD STOCK.  Below is a video tutorial that shows how the treat box comes together.

BACK TO SCHOOL Mini Treat Box and Backpack

It's hard to believe that it is already the first week of August here in Pennsylvania.  It's still hot and sticky outside but the stores are certainly ready for the BACK TO SCHOOL rush.  Kids and teachers are both excited and anxious about the start of a new school year.  These two treat boxes are perfect for both teachers and students.  Fill them with their favorite candy and they will certainly love the treat.  Let's start with the AWAY WE GO mini treat box. This one holds the delicious Ghiardelli squares or any other fun-size candy bar.  This quick and easy box uses a 6in X 6in piece of Designer Series Paper and requires NO CUTTING.  Isn't that AMAZING?  

Start with a 6in by 6in piece of DSP
On the first side, score @ 1-1/2in and 4-1/2in
On the other side, score @ 1-1/4in, 1-3/4in, 4in and 4-1/2in

I designed this BACKPACK BOX to create special treats for my amazing teacher friends, all anxiously preparing their classrooms for the big day.  I hope to put some chocolate kisses and a cute little hand sanitizer in each one.  My favorite part of the project is the magnet enclosure.  So cool.  Here's a whole bunch of  backpacks using the amazing assortment of DSP that Stampin' Up offers.

Start with a piece of card stock cut at 8-1/2in by 10-1/2in
On the long side, score @ 3in, 5in, 8in, and 10in
On the short side, score @ 1-1/4in, 5in, 6-3/4in
You need two strips of the same color cardstock, cut at 1/2in by 6in. (score at 1/2in from both ends)
Last you will need two pieces of coordinating DSP cut at 2-3/4in by 3-1/2in and 2-3/4in by 7in
