BACK TO SCHOOL WEEK- Two Fun and Easy Treat Pouches featuring the WHALE OF A TIME SUITE and the HARVEST HELLOS Stamp Set and APPLE BUILDER PUNCH

These BACK TO SCHOOL projects feature sweet treats for teacher and student.  They are quick and easy to make and you can find these treats anywhere.  My first project is a CARAMEL APPLE COWTALES Treat Pouch.  Perfect for the teacher.  Making a pouch is very easy.  Only a little bit of scoring is necessary.  I started with a piece of Designer Series Paper cut at 4-1/2in by 8 in.  The paper I used is from the IN GOOD TASTE DESIGNER SERIES PAPER STACK.  This pack is gorgeous and has a number of great natural images including woods, tiles, and fabric.

I scored the DSP on the LONG side at 1/2in and on the SHORT side at 2in and 4in.  I used a red striped piece of DSP from the HEARTWARMING HUGS Paper Stack cut at 2in by 5in for the belly band.

For the embellishments on the front of the pouch, I used my 2IN CIRCLE PUNCH and a coordinating scallop die, cut in GRANNY APPLE GREEN and REAL RED.  For the apple and the sentiment, I used an oldie but goody set, brought back from last year's catalog- the HARVEST HELLOS Stamp Set and the APPLE BUILDER PUNCH.  I stamped the apple image using TUXEDO BLACK MEMENTO INK and colored it with my REAL RED and IVORY BLENDS before cutting it out with the punch.  I used REAL RED for the sentiment on the WHISPER WHITE BANNER.  The video tutorial at the bottom of this post shows how the projects came together.

My second project was inspired by THE KITCHEN TABLE STAMPER, a fellow Stampin' Up demonstrator.  Nothing makes me think of fun treats from my childhood more than Goldfish Crackers.  They certainly have stood the test of time.  They continue to be a staple in all family's kitchen.

I found these individual bags at Target and the colors coordinated with the amazing WHALE OF A TIME SUITE.  This ocean inspired suite has beautiful images and bold colors.

For the pouch, I used a piece of PACIFIC POINT CARD STOCK cut at 10-1/2in by 5-1/2in.  I scored the card stock on the SHORT side at 1/2in and the LONG side at 2-1/2in and 7-1/2in.  I used a piece of the DSP cut at 5in by 4-1/2in.  For the embellishment on the front, I used two label dies from the STITCHED SO SWEETLY DIES cut using CALYPSO CORAL and CRUSHED CURRY CARD STOCK. I stamped the whale using PACIFIC POINT INK and punched it out using the WHALE PUNCH.  Below you can see how the pouch came together in the video tutorial.

BACK TO SCHOOL WEEK- Hand Sanitizer Gift Box for Teacher featuring the GATHER LEAVES DIES

It's BACK TO SCHOOL TIME in PA and things are definitely different this year.  I never thought that a hand sanitizer would be a much sought after product for all families.  But 2020 has thrown us a lot of curves, so we just try to make the best of things.  As a former teacher, I always love to give my teacher friends still in the classroom a little gift of encouragement each year.  This year more than any other, a gift of a mini hand sanitizer will definitely be appreciated.  I had trouble finding the minis in stores so I went online.  I learned that you need 70% alcohol in the product to make it effective. After much searching I found CLEAN DROPS.  The link on amazon is below.

For the box, I used BUMBLE BEE CARD STOCK cut at 9in by 7in.  On the LONG side, I scored at 1/2in, 1-3/4in, 7-3/4in.  On the SHORT side, I scored at 1-1/4in, 3-1/4in, 4-1/2in and 6-1/2in.  For the Designer Series Paper panels, I chose the wood grain image piece from the 6 X 6 INCOLORS PAPER PACK.  Those panels were cut at 1-3/4in by 5-3/4in (2 panels), 1in by 5-3/4in (2 panels) and 1in by 1-3/4in (1 panel).  For the embellishments on the front I used dies from the GATHER LEAVES DIES.

I used MOSSY MEADOW, PUMPKIN PIE and CRUMB CAKE CARD STOCK to make the leaves.  I love these dies because they not only cut out the leaf, they give it texture.  So pretty.  I used the STITCHED SHAPES DIES, specifically the smallest circle, in WHISPER WHITE for my sentiment.  The scripty THANK YOU is from the VERY VERSAILLE stamp set.

The video tutorial below shows how the box came together.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.  My next post will be another BACK TO SCHOOL Project.  If you have any questions about this or any other creation on my blog, email me at blreed@comcast.net.  All of the products used in this project are available in my online store. The link is below.

Need something for a Baby Birthday? HIPPO HAPPINESS can help you out. Mini Gift Bag and Coordinating Card

So excited to show other projects using the HIPPO HAPPINESS BUNDLE.  For this post I made a cute little gift bag using a 6 by 6 piece of designer series paper using the paper from the PLAYING WITH PATTERNS SUITE.  This bundle was designed by Robyn Cardon, a Stampin' Up demonstrator celebrating here million dollar sales milestone.  Pretty amazing.  This bundle is "SO ROBYN' with the whimsical animals and the "punny" sentiments.  Not only does she include dies to cut out all the critters, but she also has amazing and unique label dies that make this bundle so versatile.

I also created a card to coordinate with the gift bag.  The gift bag I make in the video used Purple Posy, just like the card.

To make the bag, I used two 6in by 6in pieces of paper from the PLAYING WITH PATTERNS PAPER STACK.  Using the SIMPLY SCORED SCORING TOOL, I scored both pieces of paper at 1-1/2in on three sides.  The side I did not score is the top of the bag.  The video tutorial below shows how the gift bag came together as well as the coordinating card.   Enjoy.

A Unicorn Treat Box and a Thank "Ewe" Card using the HIPPO HAPPINESS BUNDLE

This week's posts feature the adorable HIPPO HAPPINESS BUNDLE from the Annual Catalog.  This stamp set is so adorable, with unicorns, sheep, hippo and butterfly images to help you make whimsical cards and 3D items for family and friends. In addition to the images, you get a great set of dies with amazing label dies in three different unique designs.  They make the bundle so versatile.  I'm sure I will be using these labels for my holiday cards.  The project today is a favorite of mine, the Unicorn Treat Box.  I also made a cute Thank "Ewe" card.

In addition to the featured bundle, I also used the bright and bold paper from the PLAYING WITH PATTERNS SUITE.  The color palate went beautifully with my creations.

To make the box, I started with a piece of MAGENTA MADNESS CARD STOCK cut at 7in by 5-1/2in.  On the LONG side, I scored at 1in, 5-1/2in, 6-1/2in.  On the SHORT side, I scored at 1in, 2-1/2in, 3-1/2in,, 5in,   The DSP panel used on the front of the box measures 1-3/8in by 4-3/8in.  In the video tutorial below, you can see how the project came together;  I also shared some tips on how to get a good image when you are doing two-step stamping.

Check out my next blog post too. I'll be making two more projects with this bundle, this time featuring the happy little hippo.  Please comment and let me know what you think.  Thanks for stopping by.  If you have any questions about any of the creations on my blog, email me at blreed@comcast.net and I'll be glad to follow up with you.  If you are interested in any of the products shown in the videos, you can purchase them in my online store.  Click below.

Beautiful Coffee Treat Pouch Gift using the FOREVER GREENERY SUITE

It's finally Craft Show season here in Pennsylvania!!  I've been working on some new ideas for my event at the end of the month.  This quick and easy project is a Coffee Treat Pouch.  I made it using the FOREVER FERN stamp set and coordinating dies.  The pouches were made using the beautiful FOREVER GREENERY DESIGNER SERIES PAPER.  Amazing!!  Get yourself a few packs.  The stamp set, although I did not use it with this project contains beautiful leafy images.  I will post some of my card creations at the end of this video.  My favorite part of this suite is the dies.  These amazingly intricate dies cut out with ease and add so much to your projects. The color palette uses Garden Green, Just Jade, Pear Pizzazz, Pretty Peacock, Shaded Spruce and Soft Sea Foam.  Now that's a lot of GREEN! I used NESCAFE Latte Caramel Packets I found on Amazon.

For this project, I used a 6in by 6in piece of DSP for the pouch so you can make four pouches with one 12in by 12in sheet. Placing the paper on the SIMPLY SCORED SCORING BOARD in the portrait position, score your paper at 1-3/4in. Rotate your paper 180 degrees and score at 1-3/4in again.  Along the bottom of the paper, score at 1/2in.

For the embellishment on the front, I cut out greenery in PRETTY PEACOCK, PEAR PIZZAZZ and GOLD GLIMMER PAPER.  For the label on the front I used the LAYERED WITH KINDNESS stamp set and coordinating punches (LABEL ME PRETTY and LABEL ME LOVELY).  I used PEAR PIZZAZZ for the larger label and WHISPER WHITE for the smaller one.  I used the "For My Friend" sentiment in PEAR PIZZAZZ but there are other options.

The video tutorial below shows how the project came together.  I'll let you know how well they sell for me.  Watch for a CRAFT FAIR REVIEW blog post at the end of the month.

Here are a few of my card designs using the FOREVER GREENERY SUITE.

A Cute BIRTHDAY KIT KAT BOX using the Amazing New 2020-2022 InColor Products

As a candy lover, I'm always on the look out for new kinds of candy.  I was getting gas at the local convenience store and there they were, right at the register.  BIRTHDAY CAKE KIT KATS.  I immediately started designing a box in my head.  Do you do that too?  I even noticed that some of the colors on the package matched our new 2020-2022 INCOLORS.

I started with a piece of MAGENTA MADNESS card stock measuring 5in by 8-3/4in.  On the SHORT SIDE, score at 1/2in on both sides.  On the LONG SIDE, score at 2-1/4in, 2-3/4in, 5-1/2in and 6in.  The piece of 2020-2022 InColor DSP is cut at 2-5/8in by 3-7/8in.  The WHISPER WHITE panel for the inside measures 3-3/4in by 2in.  For the embellishments on the front, I used a stitched oval from the STITCHED SHAPES DIES and a piece of MAGENTA MADNESS RIBBON.  The video below shows how the birthday box came together.

If you have any questions about this or any project on my blog, please don't hesitate to email me (blreed@comcast.net) or message me.  If you are interested in any of the products shown in my projects, you can go to my online store to purchase them.  Just click below.

Fun Fold Card using the BIRD BALLAD SUITE and a Quick and Easy Trinket Box

When I first ordered the Bird Ballad Suite, I quickly fell in love with the amazing Designer Series Paper.  The colors and images are so beautiful.  Each side was more beautiful than the other and I wanted to make a card that would really show off the amazing variety in this paper stack.

Then I came across a design created by the amazing, Patty Bennett.  She called it a FUN FOLD CARD and I would have to agree.  It is easy to create and has a unique design that will make the recipient feel extra special.

The Base Card is 5-1/2in by 10in, scored @ 4-1/4in, 8-1/2in.  The smaller inner card is 3in by 7in, scored @ 3-1/2in (in half).  There are two Whisper White panels measuring 2-3/4in by 3-1/4in and two measuring 4in by 5-1/4in.  The  three pieces of DSP are cut at 1-1/4in by 5-1/4in, 4in by 5-1/4in and 2-3/4in by 3-1/4in.  Check the video tutorial below for step by step directions.

After posting these cute little trinket boxes on my Facebook Group page, I had lots of interest in a tutorial for them.  These are quick and easy to make and hold candy or a small gift like jewelry or makeup.  I used the amazing new 2019-2021 Incolors and the DAISY LANE BUNDLE.

You start with a piece of cardstock measuring 8in by 5-1/2in.  On the long side, score @ 1in, 3-1/2in, 4-1/2in, 7in.  On the short side, score at 1in, 4-1/2in.  Check the video tutorial below for step by step directions.
